I Miss My Home

This poem is dedicated to all the homeless little birdies…

Mom, I just saw a cute little bird…
The chirp, the tweet, I had never before heard…

It looked at me with questioning eye…
O Pal! Please tell me, where does my nest lie…

With a little hop here and a little one there…
I am searching for that branch everywhere!

Small was my home, but cozy and sweet…
Where me and my babies could always tweet…

Rough was the weather and the sun and rain…
But we learned to survive without any pain!

With sky as the roof and leaves as the floor…
We ate, we sang, we huddled together!

Down went the trees and up came the towers…
Sigh! No one noticed our tearful showers…

Gone are the days of merry and fun…
I badly miss my home…can you give me one???
